One of the more unique projects I've had the opportunity to work on was Katy Perry's first ever accessories line, PRISM. Katy's album of the same name was filled with lyrics and imagery that reflected a new age-infused maturity that separated this persona from her previous incarnations. Her management made it clear that even though Katy was still a 'California Gurl' she had entered a different phase and any copy promoting the line would need to reflect that. I worked closely with a special team of buyers and Katy's management to craft beautiful, believable copy that embodied Katy's sophisticated voice.
Katy Perry Highlights: Wrote Katy's liners for series of ads played at all 4,000 Claire's stores worldwide | Created the Express Your Selfie social media contest & brought national winners to meet Katy backstage | Wrote social postings as/for Katy | Created gift guides and in store / web promos for the line & as Katy | Wrote letters and quotes to media & influencers on behalf of Katy | Named the best selling Eat Ur Heart Out assortment | Planned & promoted a $20k LA launch party for the Eat Ur Heart Out assortment (see Event & PR page) | ACD'd the photoshoot for the global PRISM launch
